Julia holds both a creative “big picture” vision but also understands the technical process required to implement the details of effective online communications and branding strategy for your business. This ability to blend creative and technical capabilities has made her stand out as a leader in her market. Her skills as an online communications specialist include over 25 years in marketing and communications, web design, content writing, and the psychology behind sales and customer engagement. Julia has successfully adapted these skills to help her clients improve their communications and benefit from the reward of greater referrals and stronger, long-term client relationships!
After 16 years in corporate and agency environments; Julia launched her own firm in 2002 focused on supporting business owners adapt to digital communications. While her firm, Golden Services Group, is focused on serving the business community, her other endeavors include collaborating with St. Charles Community College to teach Content Management Systems and Online Marketing courses and sponsoring non-profit redevelopment projects for students through the GSG Non-Profit Website Project. She has also become active in the WordPress community as an advocate to implement stronger security features and bring awareness to liabilities that developers face and educate them on actions they should take to protect themselves as they face greater threats that can impact their business as risks from cybersecurity continue to increase.
Julia is an entertaining keynote speaker educating audiences on topics including best practices for digital marketing, communications and reducing liabilities in areas of technology. She is frequently involved in panel discussions, workshops, mastermind groups, and invited to speak at local business networking events and industry-sponsored training seminars. She also works with schools, home-school organizations, colleges and universities as a guest speaker to support their lessons and collaborate on projects to help expand students’ interest in computer science careers.
She holds an Associate Degree in Administrative Office Management from St. Louis Community College. As technology began to impact the marketing field she took the initiative to learn more technology avenues on her own including programming for web design, graphic design, SEO, and SEM. Additionally, she credits her creator for the continual opportunity to work side-by-side with gifted professionals through her career who provided a daily classroom to learn and continue to expand her knowledge of human behavior and apply it to the understanding of online data to become an online communications specialist.
She is a youngest of four children and married to her high-school sweetheart, Deron who works in the financial field. Together they have two daughters finishing college and four rescue cats. When not working, Deron and Julia enjoy spending time exploring new places and giving back to their community.

This one session brings together four professionals to speak on Cyber Security and the impact they see it having upon the small business community. Panelists include an Internet Safety Specialist, an IT / Network Professional; a Lawyer and Insurance Agent who have conversations with business owners addressing key cyber risks that target small businesses. A variety of questions will be asked of the panel and they will address the question from their professional expertise.
