Common Asked
Questions & Answers
Q: Are you a
Temp Agency?
A:
No. Temp agencies have
professionals on their staff that are placed in your workplace on
a daily basis for a short or long-term basis. Virtual
Assistants can certainly help you with short or long-term
projects; however, we typically don't work at your location.
We may come to your office, review the project details to
complete, but we're probably gathering necessary documents
or materials for us to complete the work remotely at our
office. That said, you might find some local VA's who
may consider some onsite work, like filing the documents
we're returning, hands-on training, attending project
meetings, but mostly just short-term situations.
Q: Can you help
if my Administrative Assistant is ill or on Maternity Leave?
A:
It really depends on how busy your office is and for how
long she will be away, but there are many things we can
do to help you! We've worked with one office where the
Assistant had a death in the family just as they were
preparing for a big conference. We came in, met with
her to see where things were in progress, and were able to
manage the event and presentation items in progress for her
on a remote basis for the 2-3 days she expected to be out
keeping everything on track. Other things, like
answering the phone and greeting guests, were handled by her
supervisor since they were a small office. It really depends
on the daily flow of your office. If daily tasks can
be completed remotely, then certainly give us a call.
If you require someone onsite daily to manage the busy flow
or other staff in your office, then a Temporary Agency would
be a better solution.
Q: Do we work
with the same person all the time?
A:
Typically, yes. We do
strive to build an ongoing relationship between the client
and their assigned VA; however, depending on the specifics
of the request and level of expertise you may require,
he/she may consult or just refer you directly to another
associate on the team who would better serve your needs.
In addition, if your VA is would be temporarily unavailable
due to illness, etc., he/she would arrange for one of our
team associates to cover your needs during their absence so your
project continues as planned. On occasion, we have
encountered projects that have parts of work outside our
skill set. If this happens, you can work with your VA
to find another professional to complete the task and your
primary VA who understands the project, can help you manage
these additional contractors to ensure all tasks are
completed on time.
Q: How do we get
work to you?
A:
If you're in St. Charles or St.
Louis Counties of Missouri, a local pick-up or delivery
can be arranged. However, with today's
technology, most of our virtual clients rely on fax or email to send
their everyday items, receipts or digital files.
Larger documents can be sent via mail or express delivery
and we'll gladly split the shipping with you. (You pay to
get it to us, and we pay to return it to you.)
We can also utilize internet based document sharing portals
for documents or communication purposes.
Q: I've not that
technology oriented, do I have to be to work with a VA?
A:
Certainly not! We have some clients who are very
electronically minded and prefer to use email, IM or Text to
communicate, but we also have others who prefer we pick-up
the phone and call for a progress check! Instead of
email, we fax or mail. That said, if you are
interested in learning new technology tips, we can also
teach you!
Q: Do you offer
a referral program?
A:
Yes we do! For each new
client Golden Services Group receives from the referral of a
current client or another associate, that client or
associate will receive a voucher or credit for 2-FREE hours
of service. We also provide a BONUS HOUR to clients who provide us with a
written testimonial for use in our marketing efforts.
And new clients brought in by our team members, we offer a
finders fee bonus.
